1. Wash your Face twice a day
We all have been outside for long hours, which causes excess oils to be released from our glands especially those on the face and when dirt gets to it, it causes infection and so we get pimples. To avoid all this, you need to wash your face properly with good facewash. Don’t use alcohol-based facewashes as it harms your skin.
Try to use Foam facewash, as that is gentle to your skin type and will make you feel energized all day. After washing your face, let it be pat dry and use a suitable moisturizer to keep your skin nourished. Don’t use rayon towels on your skin.
2. Apply Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe Vera is clinically proven good for all skin types. You can use it directly from the plant or you can buy the product from the market. As it contains lupeol, salicylic acid, urea nitrogen, phenols, and sulfur, all of which inhibit bacteria that might cause pimples.
To apply Aloe Vera gel on your skin, you first need to wash your face then take some amount of gel in your hands and apply it on your face. Leave it for 30 minutes on your skin then wash it off. Your skin will feel so fresh after this. Try to use this daily to get better results.
3. Eat Healthy Diet
A rich balanced diet is so far important for healthy skin. Make sure you eat proper nutrients, vitamins, proteins, minerals in your diet. We are told not to eat oily food by our mothers, they are absolutely right as glycemic diet cause pimples. Whenever you eat oily food, the oils in your body boost up and excess oil comes to your face, causing acne/pimples.
We should have a proper meal three times a day, added with an evening snack that contains any seasonal fruit. Avoid drinking too much tea, as it contains several acids which are not good for health as well as for skin. Add some seeds to your diet that will enhance your skin too.
4. Apply Tea Tree Oil
Using tea tree oil helps fight P. acnes and S. epidermidis, two types of bacteria that can cause pimples. People mainly drink tea, but this oil has various benefits when applying directly to the skin. Using this 6-7 times a week will help you a lot more to get pimple-free skin.
The thing to be kept in mind is that tea tree oil is something that doesn’t suit everyone’s skin type. So, before applying directly to the skin, take the patch test of it 24 hours before. It also helps reduce redness, inflammation, and irritation.
5. Fixed Sleeping Patterns
You might don’t know but sleep plays a way too important role in the health of our skin. The number of hours we sleep decides the condition and texture of the skin. If we sleep less than 7 hours, we start having fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles on our face. And surprisingly, the best time to take quality sleep is from 10 pm to 12 pm that 60% of youngsters don’t follow and end up getting bad skin and having acne/pimples on the skin.
You should get proper sleep of 7-9 hours for healthy, glowing, and pimple-free skin. Start sleeping early as the quote says “Early to Bed, Early to rising”. Have a walk daily for 30 minutes in the morning for a fresh start and you’ll feel the difference by yourself.
6. Use Home Made Turmeric Mask
Turmeric has glowing and healing properties. It has been used for years for skin repairing and nourishing. It reduces pimples as they contain antioxidant properties. It reduces scar marks, dark spots and minimizes sunburns also. When turmeric mixed with ginger/honey/buttermilk, it enhances its properties. You should apply this once a week to get better results.
Take a small bowl, add some turmeric to it. Now add honey, lemon juice, yogurt, or milk and mix all the ingredients. Apply the mixture to your face and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse it off, you will the difference from the very first day of use.
7. Drinks Lot Of Water
For healthy, glowing, and pimple-free skin, you should drink 2-4 liters of water daily. Drinking water helps to flush out toxins from our bodies. It prevents rashes, irritations and helps reducing wrinkles and skin aging too. When we wake up in the morning, we have puffiness on our faces, which also helps reduce that.
Not only water intake helps, but dipping your face in ice-cold water in the morning for 5 minutes with a gap of 10 seconds helps a lot more in skin cleaning and reducing pimples. You should try that also. In summers, it feels so good.
8. Roll Ice Cubes
Results have been shown that when ice is applied to the face directly or indirectly, it provides our skin a refreshing glow, reduces wrinkles, prevents acne, and does many other things too. But if you have sensitive skin and still want to get rid of pimples, then add some ice in a piece of cloth/towel, then rub it to your face.
Rubbing ice cubes also help to heal sunburn. It slows down inflammation and helps to close the open pores that help reducing oil from the face resulting in a lower amount of acne.
9. Avoid Makeup
I would suggest when you are facing problems regarding your face even if it’s having pimples/acne, sunburn, infection, do not use makeup products on your face for a while or minimize the amount. Try to use natural products that help skin cleansing. Avoid using fake or cheaper products. Always use high-quality products because your face is very important.
It is very important to know your skin type so that you can choose the products according to your skin type. And also avoid doing makeup in winters as in that season, your skin needs moisture and not powders on the face.
10. Use Skin Clearing Sheet Masks
We are seeing that today there is a trend of sheet masks going on. Well, actually their results are very good. They help our skin shine, hydrated, free from excess oils, and provide natural blush to the face. They come in all skin types and are very beneficial to the skin.
You can try sheet masks of any brand you like. They help reducing pimples on the face, as they control the number of excess oils released from our glands.
11. Reduce Stress
This might be surprising for you, but stress causes pimples. The more stress you take, the more pimples you get. So try to chill the things and don’t take too much pressure on anything that’s not worth it. You should stay calm most of the time. This will help you uplift your mood and your skin will also smile.
You should meditate every day at least half an hour a day, this will help you to deal with your problems also. You will feel your skin is also alive like your mind will be. You can also go for evening walks, or listen to music to calm your mind.
12. Do Not Pop The Pimple !!
This is the most important and my last advice for this article, that you should never ever pop the pimple. It will cause a sort of infection and causing more pimples to occur on the skin. Don’t touch the pimple even, because once it gets popped up, it leaves a mark on your skin, and then it can cause an open-pore forever. So, avoid popping your pimple.
Popping a pimple can delay your body’s natural healing process, which causes your pimple’s healing to take longer. A blemish will heal itself in 3 to 7 days. If Popped improperly, it can linger for weeks or lead to scarring. I am repeating again, do not pop your pimples !!
So, these were the tips for my side. If you like it, share this with your friend who is facing issues with pimples. Will see you in the next blog post. Keep sharing your reviews.
