Hey freshers! Worried about what you should bring to class on the first day? You don’t need to worry now as you have come across this article. Yes, you read it right, in this blog post, we are going to discuss the essentials that are necessary for college.
College essentials for class are fundamental in day-to-day life. Here’s a whole list of the things that are necessary to take with you on the very first day and on the other days too.
- Pencil case
- Sticky Notes
- Water bottle
Let’s get into the detail of these things and you can pick the things that you find suitable for your upcoming day.
Notebooks are the very basic thing to take with you as you can write down the important points on them and maintain a proper record of the syllabus that is done in class. You can also take only one notebook along with you and can make different notebooks for each subject at your convenience. This will help you a lot in exams as you will have separate notes for each subject.
Books are as important as vitamins for our body. You can understand a way lot better when you have the books with you. You can mark the various important points on them and can revise and make notes after getting home/hostel. You can also prefer the digital copy or PDFs of the books as they will be portable and you will not have to carry the weight with you all over the campus. You can issue the books from the library too.
Taking a pen or pencil is very necessary as if you don’t have it, you cannot mark the important points and cannot make notes in class. You can use the pen to write what the teacher is teaching and can mark the points on the book with a pencil. You can also use different colored pens for headings and for different topics. Use a ball pen over a gel pen because they are smoother in writing.
Erasers are used when there is a previous marking or something written on the book that is not knowledgable for you. So, you can rub them with erasers. And also you can use these whenever you write something with a mistake.
You can use highlighters for marking the important lines in the book or notebook. These are also available in different colors so you can use different shades as per your choice.
6. Pencil Case
In a pencil case, you can put all your important items like pens, pencils, erasers, etc. All the items kept in this remain organized and you can find all the things inside one place. So, basically, this is a very convenient way of keeping your essentials.
7. Sticky Notes
Sticky notes come into the game when you want to write the important points in the book and you are lazy to maintain a notebook. So this is also a good way of making notes and keeping a summary of the topic. This will help you a lot better in the revision of exams and you can remember up to longer periods.
8. Water Bottle
Hydration for the body is very important. You should carry a water bottle with you so that you can drink water for shorter periods. And you feel way too attentive and a little energetic after having some cold water. You can prefer steel bottles over plastic as water remains cold in them for more time.
You can also take some snacks with you. If you feel a little hungry, you can have them before lunch too.
You can carry a laptop with you as sometimes the teachers share the presentation or PDFs with students and reading on the smaller screen can cause headaches due to stain for more time. In this case, you can open files on your laptop and can save them for later also. You can watch movies or short films in your free period or in the cafeteria to relieve your stress and can feel active after that.
Backup is the whole kit in which you can put all your items. Books, Notebooks, Bottle, Laptop, Everything can be put in your backpack. You can have a stylish-looking bag and don’t forget to buy a bag that has broader straps, they will create lesser pressure on your shoulders while carrying.
So these were the college essentials from my side. Hope this is helpful for you all. If you want to add something you can write in the comments and also can suggest what should be the next article’s topic.
